In co-operation with the DAAD Berlin, die Reihe. Contributions to auditory art and culture proudly presented the sound artist and musician Max Eastley, guest of the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program, and the choreographer and dancer Anna Huber (Valeska-Gert Guest Professor in 2008 and 2013) with the project AIR TRACES.
Where does movement end and sound start ? Is it possible to hear silent gestures, what traces do they leave behind ? When does a gesture in dance evolve into an instrumental gesture, how do they measure time and space ? Max Eastley and Anna Huber are developing the project “Air Traces” together in a close process and will elaborate this open space starting from the casual, from self-invented instruments, from the specific site. Both leave their comfort zone and will explore the fragile and inspiring space in between.
